Bizumi is a (SaaS) platform that provides essential, personalised support to business travelers worldwide. The platform consists of mobile apps and a linked dashboard. The dashboard gives visibility to travelling staff and enables sharing of documents, updating itineraries, and Head Office support. A key feature is the carbon reduction tool to optimise travel planning. My focus was on the linked dashboard design.
This work experience helped me to deepen my knowledge in user experince design and to explore approaches to designing complex dashboard UI
Combing desk research on the current competitors & products outside the field of business travel, with a comprehensive UX Audit of the current platform, I identified problem areas and design improvements. Challenges such as inconsistency, navigation and poor adherence to WCAG. Opportunties for enhanced interaction design, usability improvements and aesthetics were found.
Worked with founder on drawing up task-model based low-fidelity wireframes. This helped visualize and make more tangible the steps that a user makes during the journey and its possibilties.
The visual design was developed by iterating, whilst presenting designs to developers and founder, ensuring business and technical constraints were met. The colors and text were to follow that of the current website. My design duties were as follows:
Designed high fidelity wire frames, interactive prototypes & mockups in Figma for travel planning flow and management tools for SaaS, presenting complex data in a usable and engaging UI.
Designed the entire onboarding flow, simplifying first-time user experiences and enhancing user adoption, through thoughtful interaction design
Designed and animated a 2D explainer video (motion graphics), demonstrating the problem, product features & value for customers. This was targeted at attracting investors.
